What it's all about

You’ll find that The Queen’s Obsession is about obsessions. I obsess over just about everything. Beautiful art, altered art, vintage ephemera, old perfume bottles, rare & precious aromatics, digital artwork. Vintage buttons. Vintage hankies. Antique and vintage photos. The 19th Century. Victorianna. Dark Victoria. Victorian Death and Funeral rituals. Photos of Femmes from long ago who believed in stepping outside the box and making their own way. Books. I love old, musty books that are falling apart yet they still have a story to tell. Dead Poets ~ Baudelaire, Shelley, Dickinson, Bryon, Plath, Sexton. Crushed velvet and roses. Creating art. Making dolls. Making perfumes.

What it's not 

The Queen's Obsession is not about using synthetic ingredients and passing them off as "natural.'   Pure essential oils, natural butters and carrier oils are used when making products.

Artwork or dolls that may be posted for sale is created with great care - and is not made just to make a quick buck. What I create whether it is art or aromatics is done because I love the creation process and you guessed it....I'm obsessed about it!

Who is behind it

I am Miz Bella, and just like out of an old Southern Gothic I am charming, disarming, wicked, witty, eccentric, eclectic, electric, neurotic, brainy & bold.

Collector of the odd, macabre, rare & forgotten…..friends as well as objects.  Being a mama, mad alchemist and mixed-media-altered-art artist there is always something going on around here to either inspire me or push me to the absolute verge of madness!
